Tenaganita
Tenaganita is a Malaysian human rights organisation dedicated in assisting, building, advocating and protecting migrants, refugees, women and children from exploitation, abuse, discrimination, slavery and human trafficking. They seek to promote and protect the rights of marginalised and vulnerable individuals who have no voice in this globalised world. During this COVID-19 pandemic, Tenaganita has been ensuring that documented and undocumented migrant workers who have lost their source of income are able to feed themselves and their families.
Kechara Soup Kitchen
Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) is a non-religious community action group that distributes food, basic medical aid and counselling to the homeless and urban poor of Malaysia. They aim to provide a permanent soup kitchen building as a place of safety, “off street”, for the distribution of hot food and medical treatment facilities for the homeless, whilst continuing to provide street food delivery to those who are unable to come to the centre. In the long term, Kechara Soup Kitchen’s mission is to reduce the flow of homeless living on the streets by providing a nurture centre building as a place of training and assistance to help make the homeless employable and for them to re-enter society.
Human Aid Selangor
Human Aid Selangor is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that provides humanitarian services to the most vulnerable displaced communities living in Malaysia who have been denied rights to education and livelihoods. Their work focuses on the welfare of the Rohingya people living in the urban areas of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. They believe in creating global awareness on the issues and challenges stateless asylum seekers face through the various grassroots-based empowerment projects they organize hand-in-hand together with vulnerable societies.
Global Peace Foundation Malaysia
The Global Peace Foundation Malaysia is part of an international peace movement committed to bring humanity as one human family transcending race, culture, and nationality. Their initiatives include programmes to develop communities in need and empower youth. They promote an innovative, values-based approach to peace-building, guided by the vision that all human beings are members of One Family Under God.
